The call of the open highway might be hard to resist when you're zooming around Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»in your sports car, but the cops just might be there to remind you there's a posted speed limit.
One driver got a tough reminder this week that going 173 km/h in an 80 km/h zone is definitely not cool.
Delta Police took to Twitter with a photo of a Jaguar F Type convertible being towed from Highway 17 (the South Fraser Perimeter Road) after the driver was nabbed by their Traffic Division for doing 93 km/h over the posted limit.
. is enforcing on the SFPR/Hwy 17 today. This vehicle was towed and the driver was given an excessive speed vehicle infraction for speeding 173 km/hr. That's 93 kms over the posted speed limit.
