At the beginning of the current NHL season the Canucks unveiled an amazing four-minute long video introducing players as movie superheroes, returning to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to do battle in Rogers Arena.
As everyone who watches Marvel movies knows, they really like their credits, so YouTuber LJIT followed that lead and made film credits very much in keeping with that idea.
"With the Canucks going with a superhero-theme to their opening video this year, I wanted to continue that with an Avengers Endgame-styled end credit sequence," they write on YouTube.
For those who've seen Avengers: Endgame (which is most of you), the credits will , as the same style of music is used throughout the three-minute video, along with the style of the shots, with the supporting cast in the MCU and on the Canucks first, followed by the Avengers.
The Canucks supporting cast has some deep cuts, like Madison Bowey and Noah Juulsen who've both only played a pair of games for the team, and some popular figures like Connor Garland and Tyler Myers. It's not like being part of the supporting cast is a slight, though; Avengers: Endgame dumped Tom Holland (aka Spider-Man) and Paul Rudd (Antman) there.
In the case of the Canucks version of the 'true' Avengers, LJIT went with the core of J.T. Miller, Brock Boeser, Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes, Thatcher Demko and Bo Horvat. If you want to get really literal, Miller took the place of Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Boeser was in Scarlett Johansson's spot (Black Widow), Pettersson took the spot of Mark Ruffalo (the Hulk), Hughes replaced Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Demko was in Chris Evans place (Captain America) and Horvat was in Robert Downey Jr.'s place (Iron Man).
Make of that what you will.
With each of those final six, they include each player's signature.
It's not just players that get shout-outs, though. The broadcast team of John Shorthouse, John Garrett and Dan Murphy are noted, along with tons of other staff (including the Sedins). And there's a special 'with' section for Jim Rutherford, Bruce Boudreau and Stan Smyl.
Unfortunately, there's no post-credits scene included in LJIT's version, but there is this if you're craving some "" material.
