Metro Vancouver's bus system is set to be shut down for three days beginning Wednesday due to strike action by drivers.

One group that faces a stiff challenge to get where they want to go are SFU students at the Burnaby Mountain campus.

Many students don鈥檛 drive vehicles and the hill is long and arduous, especially in the winter and likely in the dark for many after classes.

Dennis Gursey has set up a聽聽It鈥檚 set to take place on Thursday, starting at noon.

鈥淔or some people, (the bus) is the most reliable way of getting to SFU Burnaby, and there might not be an economical option of coming to their lectures if the buses aren't running,鈥 Gursey says in the post.

鈥淔or that reason, an alternative that I propose is to walk (that's right) 4 kilometres up the mountain and crossing that insane feat off your SFU bucket list 鈥 don't hesitate to check yourself in and get excited to (hopefully) meet a bunch of like-minded individuals ready to conquer the Burnaby Mountain.鈥

Gursey estimates the walk will take roughly 90 minutes.
