Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­actor Ryan Reynolds is sharing his support for Mental Health Awareness Month with a personal message about his struggles with anxiety. 

Ryan Reynolds is sharing his support for Mental Health Awareness Month with a personal message about his struggles with anxiety. 

The popular Vancouver-born actor shared a message on social media on Wednesday (May 26) morning that outlines how anxiety has affected his life. 

"One of the reasons I'm posting this so late is I overschedule myself and important things slip," he wrote. "And one of the reasons I overschedule myself is my lifelong pal, anxiety."

Reynolds added that he knows he's "not alone" and that many people "overschedule, overthink, overwork, over-worry, and over-everything." 

People respond to Reynolds' heartfelt message 

Numerous people commented on Reynolds' social media post, with many of them sharing their own personal stories. 

Matt Casey tweeted an image of a large Reynolds/Deadpool tattoo that he has on his arm. He wrote: "Ryan Reynolds I just want you to know that you saved my life in 2009. I was struggling with suicide and mental health issues. Thanks to a Deadpool comic & Blade: Trinity I overcome everything and I’m still alive today. Even got this tattoo in 2012 as a reminder. Thank you, Ryan!"

Australian actor Hugh Jackman â€” a close friend of Reynolds â€” commented, "Mate - your honesty is not only brave but, I’m positive will help countless others who struggle with anxiety too. Good on you!"

Countless other people noted that his words are important and will help many individuals who are suffering and feel alone.
