RCMP re-issue public plea in search of missing North Delta man

In a late Monday afternoon news release, RCMP said Grempel has now been missing for one month

Surrey RCMP continues to investigate the disappearance of North Delta’s Bernard Grempel and is re-issuing its plea to the public to help locate him.

In a late Monday afternoon news release, RCMP said Grempel has now been missing for one month.

“Through investigation, it was determined that he was last seen at the 22nd Street SkyTrain station located in New Westminster just prior to 11 p.m. on May 14, 2021,” said Surrey RCMP. “Investigators believe that Grempel boarded the 340 bus at 10:59 p.m., which travels to Scottsdale exchange. It is unknown where Bernard disembarked the bus.”

Grempel was last seen wearing red sweat pants, a white hoody, blue medical mask, and black/white Nike runners. He is described as a 28-year-old man, 6’0 tall, with a slim build, curly brown hair and brown eyes.

Grempel’s family and friends are concerned for his health and wellbeing. It is out of character for him to be out of contact for this amount of time, say RCMP.

Family and friends have conducted numerous search parties in the Surrey and North Delta areas where it is believed Grempel was last scene, including along the bus routes that he may have travelled.
Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502. If you wish to make an anonymous report contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or .
