Photos: ‘Private den’ renting for $1000 in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»really just cubicle in living room

The bed is a fold-out couch or futon.

The trend to convert living rooms into private rooms in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»is continuing.

This time an ad has calling the space a "private furnished den" in downtown Vancouver. The photos in the ad show a futon or fold-out couch in the living room with cubicle walls partially separating it from the rest of the living room.

The unusual space is on the market for $1,000.

"Suitable for someone who works\studies and is willing to socialize outside the house, as we do the same," states the ad from the two people already living in the unit.

Along with the sleeping zone, the rent includes use of a TV, chair and table next to the "den" along with a closet in a different area.

The ad plays up the appeal of the location, noting it's two blocks from "everything" and the building itself has a pool, sauna, and 24-hour concierge.
