A popular Downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»sports bar voluntarily closed its doors today due to a possible COVID-19 exposure at the establishment earlier this week.

In a post on its Facebook page, the Score on Davie writes that it closed doors today, Friday, Aug. 14, "out of an abundance of caution," while it traces a possible COVID-19 exposure at the pub.

The Score adds that Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health is aware of the situation and is working with them directly.

"While VCH believes the risk of spread is low, we need to keep the safety of our staff and community as our top priority," notes the Score.

The statement comes after Cadillac Fairview said that people who visited two stores in CF Pacific Centre may have been exposed to COVID-19. In an emailed statement to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», the company writes that Bell Mobility and Saje, "acted quickly and responsibly by immediately contacting Cadillac Fairview and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health (VCH)."

It can also be spread when a healthy person touches an object or surface (e.g. a doorknob or a table) with the virus on it, and then touches their mouth, nose or eyes before washing their hands. Most people who get COVID-19 have only mild disease, but a few people can get very sick and may need to go to hospital. The symptoms of COVID-19 may include fatigue, loss of appetite, fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, runny nose, sore throat loss of smell and/or diarrhea.
