Cadillac Fairview states that people who visited two stores in CF Pacific Centre in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»may have been exposed to COVID-19.
In an emailed statement to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», the company writes that Bell Mobility and Saje, "acted quickly and responsibly by immediately contacting Cadillac Fairview and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health (VCH)."
Cadillac Fairview adds that it is unable to provide further details, but notes that at this point in time no further action is required and the building can remain open for business.
"CF is dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of all occupants and visitors. We have implemented special cleaning in all common areas and high-touch points, implemented measures to ensure physical distancing, included handwashing instructional signage based on Public Health guidelines in all washrooms and increased the number of hand sanitizer stations in CF Pacific Centre," says Cadillac Fairview
COVID-19 is spread by respiratory droplets when a person who is sick coughs or sneezes, although it can also be spread when a healthy person touches an object or surface, like a doorknob or a table, with the virus on it, and then touches their mouth, nose or eyes before washing their hands.
According to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health, symptoms to watch out for may include fatigue, loss of appetite, fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, loss of smell and/or diarrhea.
