Police recover 174 guns from Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­senior, take him to hospital

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­police seized 174 guns.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­police spent some time moving guns out of a Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­man's house this week.

On Friday, Oct. 8, a wellness check was done at the request of a doctor by the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­Police Department's Car 87 program (which is called in for mental health emergencies). Police found the 76-year-old man in his West 15 Avenue and Granville Street in poor condition.

In a tweet, Deputy Chief Fiona Wilson notes that while there, officers recovered 174 guns. Most of them were vintage, with some from the Second World War, according to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­Police Department. Police seized them as they weren't stored safely.

The senior, who suffers from dementia, was taken to urgent care due to his condition, state police.
