Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»police are warning the public about a high-risk sex offender living in Vancouver.
Skylar Wayne Pelletier, who has been convicted of sexual assault, break and enter, and assault, is considered a high-risk sex offender according to the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Police Department. He's now serving a five-year supervision order and will be living in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»after his jail sentence ended.
The now 21-year-old was sentenced in 2019 as an adult for a 2016 sexual assault when he was 16. He broke into a bedroom and sexually assaulted 48-year-old woman. While in the Burnaby Youth Custody Services Centre he was involved in 130 incidents including physical violence and public masturbation.
Police note Pelletier "poses a significant risk to women in the community."
As part of his order he:
- he cannot consume, purchase or possess alcohol;
- he cannot consume, purchase or possess drugs other than prescribed medication;
- he cannot associate with the victim or members of the victim’s family;
- he cannot associate with any person believed to be involved in criminal activity or substance misuse;
He also must report all contact with females to his parole supervisor and live at a facility like a community correctional centre or community residential facility.
Anyone who sees him breaking these conditions is asked to call 911.
Pelletier is described as standing 6'2" with a medium build, weighing around 165 lbs. He has short black hair and brown eyes.
