There's going to be more of to enjoy this summer, as the 麻豆传媒映画amusement park expands their 2020 offerings to include a number of popular rides not part of the first phase of opening.
Playland kicked off the modified 2020 season in July with a dozen rides and attractions, but as of August 1 will also open up several more, including its iconic award-winning 62-year-old Wooden Roller Coaster. They'll also be opening The Beast, Westcoast Wheel, Pirate Ship, Atmosfear, Music Express, Breakdance, 搁辞肠办鈥档鈥机补谤蝉, Dizzy Drop and the Revelation. Take note, however, that Revelation is an additional ticketed experience.
Admission to Playland includes unlimited rides, and a "souvenir" face mask - this comes in handy right away as it is mandatory to wear a face covering while in line and on rides.

Starting August 1, Playland will be open Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
鈥淲e were thrilled to welcome families back to Playland on July 10 and we are ready to expand that offering, providing guests the opportunity to enjoy their favourite summer thrill rides again this year,鈥 says PNE President and CEO Shelley Frost.
Playland has an enhanced list of safety precautions to ensure the health and safety of all visitors and staff. These include:
- Limited capacity and transactions 鈥 capacity has been reduced to allow for physical distancing so you must purchase tickets in advance for date/time specific entry. Cash will not be accepted.
- Space for safety 鈥 practice physical distancing, keep 6 feet / 2 metres between your party and other guests. Plexiglass shields have been installed where possible.
- Clean hands often 鈥 wash regularly with soap. Use sanitizer before and after each ride. Enhanced cleaning measures have been added throughout the park.
- Masks required 鈥 face coverings must be worn in queue lines and on rides and they are recommended throughout the park.
And while there are physical distancing measures and a reduced capacity of guests, PNE Spokesperson Laura Ballance told V.I.A. ahead of the July opening that there could still be hundreds of people in the park at a given time.
Capacity has been reduced by 70%. Playland says they are only expecting guests in the hundreds this weekend.
