Metro 麻豆传媒映画now has a second ScreenX auditorium.
The immersive, panoramic movie experience debuts July 7 at Cineplex Cinemas Langley showing Marvel Studios' Thor: Love and Thunder.
ScreenX theatre technology lets avid moviegoers experience movies from a 270 degree panoramic view by expanding the film onto the left and right side walls of the auditorium. It's almost like you're inside the movie!
Cineplex (entertainment and media company) and CJ 4DPLEX (cinema technology company) first partnered in 2016 to bring the first 4DX auditorium to Canada and then in 2018 to bring the first ScreenX auditorium; both of first ones were located in Toronto.
Since then, the two companies are planning to bring 4DX theatres to six locations and ScreenX screens to 12 locations across Canada, including Vancouver's Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver.
