Honda drivers and enthusiasts can now rejoice as a new dealership has opened in Burnaby.
One of B.C.’s largest automotive dealership group, OpenRoad Auto Group (OpenRoad) is moving its Kingsway Honda Burnaby location to a brand new home on 5723 Marine Way.
According to a news release, the new 64,000 sq. ft. "state-of-the-art" facility will encompass new and pre-owned departments as well as the service and the parts department, all under one roof.
The showroom interior can accommodate 11 vehicles, the release noted.
As well as 22 service bays, nine level-two electric vehicle chargers, one level-three charger, one alignment bay, more than 9,500 sq. ft. of parts storage, parking stalls and rooftop parking for 135 cars and built-in energy efficiencies.
“We are thrilled to have the project come to fruition,” said Aly Jiwani, an OpenRoad Auto Group spokesperson.
“The future outlook for automotive retail in Burnaby, and B.C. overall, continues to be strong and positive, and we are committed to making sound investments into our business. The new OpenRoad Honda Burnaby will allow our team to not only continue to service our customers to the best of their abilities, but to elevate their experience even further.”
The dealership has joined the Honda Green Dealer program and has reduced their energy usage by 50 per cent, qualifying for platinum status, said Ryan Muir, the general manager at OpenRoad Honda Burnaby.
Muir added it is the only dealership in the province to achieve this designation.
In addition to joining the Honda Green Dealer program, the dealership recently received its third Honda Driving Excellence (HDE) recognition in a row last year for demonstrating commendable customer service.
