The Environment Canada Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»weather forecast for April 18 to 24, 2023, includes a sunny break and risk of a thunderstorm in between a rainy week.

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»may be drenched in April showers but locals can expect a bit of sunshine to peek through this week.

Spring is well underway in the region and Environment Canada's April forecast includes overnight near-freezing lows and plenty of rainfall.

While locals should keep their umbrellas handy, Vancouverites may find relief in a sunny break, but only after a possible thunderstorm.

According to Environment Canada's forecast for Metro Vancouver, Tuesday (April 18) will bring about showers with a high of 9 C and the risk of a thunderstorm. Temperatures will dip to 3 C overnight, which is the coldest it will get this week.

The heavy rainfall will come to a standstill by Wednesday afternoon with temperatures climbing a degree higher to 10 C during the day. On Thursday, the sky will see a mix of sun and clouds and a high of 11 C before returning to rain.

Starting Thursday night through Saturday, locals should dress for wet weather. There is a 60 per cent chance of showers on Sunday (April 23) and Monday (April 24).

Thursday evening and onward will also see an overnight average of 8 C.
