That鈥檚 in no small part because the Burnaby man won $5 million playing Lotto 6/49 on May 4, 2016, when he matched all six numbers to win the jackpot more than four years ago.
O鈥橞rien, who purchased his latest winning ticket at a 7-Eleven Store on Kingsway Street in Burnaby, has played Lotto 6/49 for as long as he can remember. He said his wife didn鈥檛 believe him when he broke the good news.
鈥淪he thought I was joking when I told her,鈥� he recalled after claiming his prize using 叠颁尝颁鈥檚 . They celebrated over cake and coffee the night he learned he鈥檇 won.
Of his plans for his second big win? Since he鈥檚 retired, travel is on the top of his list.
鈥淚鈥檝e always loved travelling and I鈥檝e always wanted to travel to India,鈥� O鈥橞rien said.
And will he continue playing the lottery? 鈥淵es 鈥� I really like playing,鈥� he said.
