A popular fried chicken restaurant in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­has opted to close up shop temporarily after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. Juke Fried Chicken shared the news on its Instagram account.

A popular fried chicken restaurant in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­has opted to close up shop temporarily after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

shared the news on its Instagram account. The Chinatown restaurant indicated that it has been working "in close contact with Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Coastal Health" and the health authority "has deemed no further trace of infection and recommends we remain open."

However, Juke has opted to voluntarily shut down the restaurant, and Chickadee, the bar that operates on-site

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Coastal Health does not include Juke on its list of possible public COVID-19 exposures. 

The restaurant employee tested positive for COVID-19 "during their days off," according to Juke. That team member is "recovering well with mild symptoms and self-isolating at home."

"Please be assured that we have and will always continue to implement the strictest of safety procedures and remain committed to not just meeting but exceeding all recommended guidelines," the restaurant added in their announcement. 

Juke says it will update fans of their fried chicken, ribs, sides, and cocktails when the restaurant is open again for business.
