Edward Perry of Langley, BC won $1 million recently playing a Scratch & Win lottery card

A Langley musician isn't playing the blues after playing a Scratch & Win ticket and coming up $1 million richer.

Edward Perry got his hands on the scratcher at Express News on Fraser Highway in Langley, and checked it at the Otter Co-op Gas Bar in Aldergrove.

“I shut the machine down,” Perry recalled after handing the ticket to the cashier, according to the BCLC. “People at the store wanted to take pictures with me.”

Perry, who already owns 85 instruments, has some plans in mind for how to spend his win: “I want to celebrate with my family back in Ontario. I’ll have a catered dinner with whatever food and drinks they want.” Plus, a new truck and a trip to Newfoundland are also on his bucket list.

So how does it feel to scratch up a million bucks? “It’s a wonderful feeling, it’s hard to express,” Perry said, adding: “I feel bubbly.”
