How rainy will this week be in Vancouver? Substantially

Get the umbrella out. And the backup.

It's going to be a wet week after weeks of no rain in Vancouver.

After weeks without rain creating a drought in Vancouver, the city's usually wet weather is making a return this week.

Clouds and precipitation should be plentiful this week according to Environment Canada, starting Sunday night (Oct. 23) when rain begins in the evening.

This will let up Monday morning and things will clear a little bit with a chance of showers and sunshine throughout the day. A 30 km/h breeze is also expected to arrive on the coast in the morning, meaning the 13 C high might not quite feel that warm.

Overnight, the rain and showers should fade away for a bit but by Tuesday morning, rain is expected to arrive again and stay throughout the day, with a high of 11 C.

This will stick around overnight, but Wednesday morning skies should clear again, for the driest and brightest day of the week.

However, rain is expected to return Wednesday evening and stick around for a bit.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday are all forecast to be rainy, including at night. Each will have highs around 12 C. Overnight lowest through the week will hover around 8 C to 6 C.
