Horseshoe Bay
Called Chai-hai by the Squamish people, Horseshoe Bay was developed as a summer resort in 1909, but it was the arrival of the PGE railway in 1914 that made it a popular recreational destination in the ensuing years. By the early 1930s Dan Sewell Sr. was operating a marina and? a hotel and the bay was getting a reputation as a sport fishing mecca.
