Vancouverites are expected to enjoy a few days respite from the gloomy weather as the forecast calls for sunshine all weekend long.

Starting on Thursday, however, Environment Canada calls for a 40 per cent chance of showers during the day and cloudy skies in the evening. On Saturday, the skies are expected to clear, and the forecast calls for mainly sunshine and a high of 10°C with a chilly low of 2°C overnight.

Saturday is expected to be clear and sunny but a bit cooler, with a daytime high of 7°C. Sunday is also expected to see sunshine, but the evening low is expected to tip down to -1°C.

Monday's forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers throughout the day, with Tuesday's forecast calling for the same.
