The company has compiled a list of the nine cheapest neighbourhoods to rent in across the region and breaks down how much the neighbourhoods cost in comparison to the cities they are located in.
For example, report authors note that the average rent for unfurnished units in the city of Surrey is $1,375 for a one-bedroom and $1,735 for a two-bedroom. However, if you look closely at the neighbourhood of Guilford Town Centre, the average rents are slightly lower at $1,357 for a one-bedroom and $1,525 for a two-bedroom.
Similarly, a South Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»neighbourhood like Victoria-Fraserview will cost much less than the downtown area. The average rent for unfurnished rentals is $1,647 for a one-bedroom and $2,366 for a two-bedroom in South Vancouver.
But in the area of Victoria-Fraserview specifically, the rent is significantly lower: $1,516 for a one-bedroom and $1,843 for a two-bedroom.
In Vancouver's Sunset area, renters can expect to pay even less, with an average of $1,500 for a one-bedroom and $1,775 for a two-bedroom.
