Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health has issued a COVID-19 public exposure warning for restaurant in downtown Vancouver.
The potential exposure date is August 13, from 6 p.m. to midnight, according to the health authority.
In a statement shared to their social media accounts, the award-winning fine dining restaurant located inside downtown's Rosewood Hotel Georgia explained that the infected persons were guests who dined at Hawksworth and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19.
The restaurant added that those guests were part of a private event located in the restaurant's York Room event space, away from the main Hawksworth dining room.
However, Hawksworth has opted to close for service until further notice.
"The staff members who served this event along with any other colleagues they have interacted with have gotten tested for COVID-19 and will isolate until Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health has deemed they can return back to work," said Hawskworth in their statement.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health asks anyone who visited Hawksworth on that date and during that time span to monitor themselves for symptoms for 14 days.
The health authority adds locations to the list as a precaution and believes possible exposures to be low risk.
