Would you travel through time to see Gastown's gothic past?
The returns for it's 11th Halloween season, taking curious Vancouverites through the backstreets and alleyways of Victorian Gastown with only a lamplight to guide the way.
This walking tour is rather a one-person play led by a professional actor dressed in 1890s period costume and mixes the fictional tale of an early Gastown resident with real history, from smallpox to fires to murder.
"You'll stand in the very spot where the Great Fire swept through Gastown in 1886, and you'll hear the spine-chilling tales of those that escaped... and those that didn't," says Will Woods, company founder and the creator of the walking tour.
The walking tour will run each night of October and, starting on Oct. 14, will offer up to four start times per night between 6-9 p.m. on the hour. Tickets can be purchased online.
When: Now until Oct. 31, various times
