The "list of government-authorized hotels" in Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»is growing.
Hotels where people arriving from abroad at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»International Airport can quarantine now include:
The Westin Wall Centre Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Airport was the first hotel approved for Vancouver-bound travellers.
Travellers arriving in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»from international destinations must quarantine themselves at one of the approved hotels for three nights according to new federal regulations in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its variants. Bookings cannot be made directly with the hotel and must go through GB Travel Canada Inc. which is available via phone only.
They can be reached at:
- 1-800-294-8253 (toll-free within North America)
- 1-613-830-2992 (collect outside of North America)
The lines are open Monday to Friday from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. (in the Pacific Standard Timezone, which Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»is in).
Currently, only four airports in Canada are receiving international flights: Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. Each has at least two hotels that have been approved for these quarantines. Along with the four added to Vancouver, there were two more added in Toronto and one more added in Montreal.
The government has needed to book a hotel:
- traveller name(s)
- date(s) of birth
- arrival city and date
- payment information
- special requests and accessibility concerns
- pet information
