The Fraser Health authority has issued a pair of COVID-19 public exposure warnings for two pub venues in Metro Vancouver.

The , located at 405 North Road #2, was the site of a COVID-19 public exposure on August 1, from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. August 2.

In a , the management of Taphouse Coquitlam acknowledged the Fraser Health public notification.

"Although the possible exposure has been deemed 'low risk' by Fraser Health, the health and safety of our guests and staff is of the utmost importance to us. As such, we are working closely with Fraser Health Authority to ensure any guests who visited during these hours are notified," writes the pub.

"It is important to mention that we wish this information was shared with us sooner, so we could have shared it with you sooner. Regardless of this, we are doing everything in our power to trace any possible exposure to our guests and staff members."

The Taphouse continues, adding that the pub's staff has remained healthy, and that the venue is following a strict COVID safety plan and safety protocols. "This possible exposure relates to the one guest member who visited and recently tested positive."

"In short, we have not taken any steps back or relaxed on any of our health and safety measures; to ensure we can continue to provide a safe dining experience for our guests. We look forward to having you back and want to thank you for the continuous support you have shown us. Our concern for our team and guests is paramount and we appreciate your understanding as we work through this," notes the Taphouse.

Additionally, a COVID-19 public exposure warning has been issued for Charlie Hamiltons Pub, located at 1031-1163 Pinetree Way (Facing, Lincoln Ave), for August 4, between the hours of 7 and 9 p.m.

In both cases, Fraser Health is asking that anyone who may have been at either of those venues during the indicated times self-monitor for symptoms.

"There is no known risk to anyone who attended any listed locations outside of the specified dates and times. If people remain healthy and do not develop symptoms, there is no need to self-isolate and people can continue with their usual daily activities," explains Fraser Health.

If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19, please seek testing and then self-isolate, urges the health authority.

There are currently four COVID-19 public exposure warnings in the Fraser Health region: the two Coquitlam pub venues, along with a Surrey Hookah lounge venue and an event at a Surrey beauty supply store
