If you're still not following the B.C. Conservation Officer Service on and - even after we posted of 14 of their ridiculous bear photos - perhaps this tweet featuring a cute cougar they recently rescued might convince you?
BCCOS in Williams Lake rescued this 2 month old orphaned cougar kitten. COs believe the kitten’s mother was struck and killed by a vehicle. The kitten has found a home at the Greater Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Zoo

Or maybe this one of them saving a deer?
Successful ice rescue in Golden. The fawn recovered and walked away safely. Thanks to the residents and for helping.

The BCCOS is another example of a government agency doing interesting public outreach on social media, much like which I have been known to rave about. Their non-partisan messaging is super refreshing.
And they don't just share cute photos of rescues. Their work is broad in enforcing the law when it comes to natural resources and wildlife in B.C. and they also share stories of enforcement, like this one of how they caught someone poaching a ton of fish near Salmon Arm.
Yesterday, near Salmon Arm, BC an individual catches a severe over limit of trout, but then nets $1,100 in fines thanks to a concerned angler who called in the tip to the BCCOS 24 hr violation report line of 1-877-952-RAPP.

Most things they share offer glimpses into a world beyond our urban bubble here in the city and I will stress again that they're well worth a follow.
