Here are all the winners of the 2019 B.C. Beer Awards

The B.C. Beer Awards celebrated its 10 th anniversary Saturday night, with Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Brewery Diploma Program taking the top prize as Brewery of the Year.

The B.C. Beer Awards celebrated its 10th anniversary Saturday night, with Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Brewery Diploma Program taking the top prize as Brewery of the Year. KPU’s student-run brewery picked up five individual medals for its beers, including a gold for its Birra Rossa in the North American Amber & Brown Ale category.

Burnaby’s Dageraad Brewing picked up the most medals, with seven beers picking up awards, including golds for Burnabarian (Belgian Ale), Five (Saison) and 10° (Strong Belgian Ale). The Belgian-inspired brewery ran a clean sweep of the Strong Belgian Ale category, in addition to picking up a pair of medals for best bottle and can design.

Richmond’s Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks won the coveted Best In Show award for its Pixel Pils, which won gold in the German Pilsner category. Brewhall Beer Co. took home the CBC People’s Choice Award for the second year in a row, with its Azedo Tropical Fruit Sour.

Victoria’s Île Sauvage Brewing won the Rookie of the Year award for best new brewery, while Four Winds Brewing won the Brewers’ Challenge for wood-aged beer with its Cherry Operis.

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Island breweries picked up six golds, including Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Island Brewing (Hermannator, Dark & Strong European Beer), Twin City Brewing Company (Late Bloomer Strawberry Hibiscus Sour, Specialty Fruit Beer), ÃŽle Sauvage Brewing Company (Shiro Shiro, European Sour), 4 Mile Brewing Co. (Hazy Citra Pale Ale, North American Pale Ale), White Sails Brewing (Bastion Blonde Ale, North American Blonde Ale), Gladstone Brewing (Porter, North American Port & Stout).
