Vancouver’s favourite son Ryan Reynolds is sending British Columbia and Ontario 100 autographed bottles of his signature Aviation Gin - though it seems Canada’s easternmost province is out of luck.
On Thursday morning Reynolds tweeted he was putting his autograph on bottles of Aviation Gin for the two province's liquor boards.
“The bottles I signed in my last post were actually for BC Liquor Stores not Ontario. Now signing 100 bottles for Ontario and before you ask Newfoundland, NO,” Reynolds wrote.
Update: the bottles I signed in my last post were actually for BC Liquor Stores not Ontario. Now signing 100 bottles for Ontario and before you ask Newfoundland, NO.

The Newfoundland comment inspired many Newfies, including the lead singer of Canadian folk-rock band Great Big Sea, to attempt to barter or trade with Reynolds in exchange for one of the bottles.

Viviana Zanocco, a manager at the BC Liquor Distribution Branch says the Deadpool star’s signing and selling of the gin is part of the BCLDB’s year-long celebration to mark 100 years of operation.
British Columbians looking to wet their whistles with some personally signed bottles of the gin will have to wait. The bottles will be available for purchase on June 12 -- the official centennial anniversary of the BCLB -- at five B.C. liquor stores:
- Alberni and Bute (Vancouver)
- Park Royal (West Vancouver)
- 39th and Cambie (Vancouver)
- Kelowna Orchard Park
- Langley
While can carry a price tag of $300 to $700, according to Zanocco the autograph will not change the price from the current $39.99 a bottle.
