After 70 years in business, family-run outdoor equipment store 3 Vets closed its doors for good in December 2017.
Since then, the building on 2200 Yukon St. has sat dormant while a  for a four-storey project featuring light industrial use on the first and second storeys and general office use on the remaining floors worked its way through the maze of city planning bureaucracy.
Demolition of the 3 Vets building finally began this week, with a backhoe making short work of the concrete and metal structure.
