The cozy and inviting store added character to the Victoria Drive neighbourhood and there were questions about what would step in to fill the void. Enter:
As it turns out, fans didn't need to worry because a new vintage and general store has picked up the mantle to carry on right where The Found and The Freed left off.
Georgia General quietly opened last week with tentative hours of noon to 6 p.m. every day except Tuesday. They do warn on their Instagram, however, if you're travelling to see them it's best to check their social media to make sure they're open since they're spending the next few weeks finding their footing.
Much like the previous tenants of the space, Georgia General will stock antique furniture, plants, and a small selection of vintage clothing but they are also offering food and dry goods alongside books, seeds, and locally-made cards, plus assorted oddities.
"We want to become your go-to destination for gifts," reads Georgia General's Instagram. "We have three sizes of gift boxes which you can build yourself, we’ll help you put together, or we can fully curate."
You can find Georgia General at 706 Victoria Dr.
