As in any big city, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­is buzzing with businesses.

Among many terrific local, small, sustainable, women-owned and Indigenous-owned businesses are a handful of mother-daughter businesses that with goods that are also worth adding to your cart. Their products or services, like clothing, beauty products, or teas, would also make great gifts and a great way to support mothers on Mother's Day.

Owned by mother and daughter Katalin Zambo and Kat Zambo (same name!), whose nicknames are Mama Z and Kat Jr., this zero-waste and vegan coffee shop was founded from the duo's love for healthy nutrition, ice hockey and hiking. The menu looks as natural and authentically good as their Instagram, which is a collection of beautiful photos of the Wild Trails Coffee mug in B.C. landscapes.

The sparkle-galore accessory atelier was founded by Madalena Corsi in 1991 and later joined by daughter Elsa Corsi. The designers bejewel brides and have a wide selection of hair accessories, veils and other sparkly jewels.

The Indigenous tea company is run by ethnobotanist mother-daughter duo Cease T'uy't'tanat Wyss and Senaqwila Wyss, who hand craft small batch teas, tinctures and salves using traditional health practices and Indigenous plant knowledge. 

Mother-daughter team Madison and Lisa Fleischer are raising funds for Ukraine by selling super-soft crewneck sweatshirts and T-shirts, mugs, pins and more. 

Like mother like daughter, 11-year-old Megan started this DIY Craft Kits business with the help of her mom, Cheri, who's also a self-proclaimed entrepreneur at heart. The kits range from wooden signs and ornaments to pillowcases and tote bags.

After the passing of their husband/father, Radmila Juristovski-Bosnic and daughter Ada Juristovski partnered up to create a free-from skincare line, replacing toxic ingredients with high-quality ingredients. Though natural deodorant is their keystone product, the label also has a hand sanitizer and limited-edition T-shirt.

Courtney Peters and Shelby Slater have one goal, according to their website: to "simplify your daily hair ritual and make bad hair days a thing of the past." The Vancouver-made label makes high quality scrunchies, headbands and other hair accessories, but also carries dry shampoo, combs and clips. 

It all started in the kitchen when Mirabela Muresan and her daughter, Alessia, were trying to scroll an online recipe while juggling messy ingredients and utensils. The result? The SousShelf, a wooden phone/tablet holder with a trendy stylus to help keep devices in the kitchen mess-free.

What started as a gardening hobby turned into a landscape design and build company that brings together naturalism and modernity to create beautiful gardens, founded and managed by Elisabeth and Anna Graf.
