Photos: Aritzia's athleisure brand TNA just dropped a collab with Vans

Retro California vibes abound in this new limited edition release.

Artitzia's in-house athleisure brand TNA which was all the rage when I was growing up has just that sets itself up to be the go-to casual wear of the summer.

To coordinate with its new street fleece colours in pinks, blues, and oranges, TNA partnered with Vans to design three pairs of skater shoes: a slip-on, a high top, and a sneaker.

The Classic Slip-On 98 Dx is a unisex shoe in shades of muted blue and orange made from canvas and suede with a cushy footbed and an orange detail tape around the front to finish it off. The whole collection is an homage to California where Vans had its first factory. The high top lace-up sneaker, Sk8-Hi 38 Dx, has a padded exterior and a pink ombre colour palate while the low top lace-up sneaker, Old Skool 36 Dx, gives off a more retro vibe with the shades of blue, grey, and peachy orange.

To announce the launch, TNA and Vans reached out to Beatrice Domond, a professional skateboarder based in New York City and the first woman to make the Supreme's skate team.

At 26 years old, she is also a film director and artist to talk about her personal style, the importance of skateboarding in her life, and finding inner peace. She says, "Skateboarding is like art, but you can move around. That’s why it’s so beautiful,” which would make this new collaboration, the costuming, and her the perfect model for this kind of style.

The three colourways of these Vans are limited edition and exclusive to Aritzia.
