Snowbirds in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­for puck-drop flyby as Canucks face Oilers

VANCOUVER — The Canadian Forces Snowbirds have performed a flyover across downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­at the start of the Stanley Cup playoff game between the Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers. Eight Snowbirds CT-114 Tutor jets flew in formation over the arena.

VANCOUVER — The Canadian Forces Snowbirds have performed a flyover across downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­at the start of the Stanley Cup playoff game between the Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers.

Eight Snowbirds CT-114 Tutor jets flew in formation over the arena.

The Royal Canadian Air Force said before the flyover that the Snowbirds would fly over the arena no lower than 500 feet.

Public affairs officer David Lavallee said in a statement that the air force was proud to join in national sporting events with flybys.

The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Canucks are facing the Oilers in Game 2 of the NHL playoffs' second round.

The Canucks won the opener 5-4 on Wednesday after coming back from a 4-1 deficit.
