When it was built in 1910, this building at 998 Thurlow St had five floors. Several months later, a sixth floor was added, as shown in this picture.
In 1966 a fire destroyed the top floor of the apartments, and it went back to having just five floors. In 2018 another fire damaged several suites in the West End apartment building.
And that's the 'storey' of Washington Court.
