Why are house prices so high in Vancouver? Since the 1970s, the City has resisted densification. Only former industrial areas have seen significant changes. Many areas of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»have less people today than 40 years ago.
When I was Mayor I introduced the EcoDensity Initiative to change this. Only cities have the mandate to permit densification and make it possible for young people to once again become homeowners.
