Here's a timely find from the City of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Archives. This photo shows a group of refugees gathered under and around a temporary shelter after the great fire destroyed most of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»in 1886. Interesting to note is the stove, which was likely one of the few things that could be salvaged from the mess. There aren't too many photos of the aftermath but this one shows what life was like for the people of our city and is one of my favourites.
