Provincial Courthouse
As compelling signs of Vancouver’s and British Columbia’s maturity and dominance, impressive public buildings were commissioned throughout the 1890s and early 1900s. In this 1906 photo, the provincial courthouse, now the art gallery, is under construction, designed by then-popular architect Francis Rattenbury.
