A legacy begins. On December 1, the Canadian Olympic Association chose Vancouver/Whistler as the bid city for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Bid society chairman Arthur Griffiths and Premier Glen Clark show the jubilation of the crowd of hundreds at Robson Square Conference Centre.
