Kuan Yin Buddhist Temple
The Ten-Thousand- Hand-Ten-Thousand-Eye Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva statue inspires awe at the Kuan Yin Buddhist Temple in Richmond, the first in North America built in the authentic Buddhist tradition. Avalokitesvara is the bodhisattva of infinite compassion (a bodhisatva being one who delays nirvana to seek enlightenment for others).
