Vancouver-raised Jimmy McLarnin, known by such nicknames as 鈥淏aby Face鈥� and the 鈥淏aby-faced Assassin,鈥� became the world welterweight champion in 1933 after knocking out reigning champion Young Corbett III in the first round.
