BC Provincial Police
These officers are wearing the uniform of the BC Provincial Police, the force that patrolled the province until 1950, when it was replaced by the RCMP. The BCPP traced its origins back to the gold-rush days of the 1850s, when it was known as the BC Constabulary. The uniform, adopted in 1924, featured a khaki jacket and pants, with green trim and a Sam Browne belt.
