Hailstone, Brighouse and Morton
The Three Greenhorns. Now prosperous about thirty years after becoming pioneers, (left to right) William Hailstone, Sam Brighouse and John Morton decided to try their hand, in 1862, at brick-making, in what is now the West End. Their contemporaries laughed them off, but the investment in land paid off when the CPR bought them out.
