Fraser River Flood
Flood havoc. Working to get their vehicle unstuck and to higher ground, these farmers were caught in the midst of the great Fraser River flood of 1948. Cutting Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»off from the rest of the country by wiping out the railways and highway, the flood also killed 10 people, caused $20 million in damages (in 1948 dollars), and led to more than 16,000 people losing their homes.
