Burrard Thermal Generating Plant
The backup electrical source for Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»during peak hours
or when the reservoirs for hydroelectricity are running low, the gas-powered Burrard Thermal generating plant was completed in 1963 near Port Moody. It has served faithfully ever since.
