Sandy Jack Parisian and Pascal Jean Claude Bouthillette pleaded guilty to manslaughter in 78-year-old Usha Singh's death.

A second man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the 2021 home invasion death of an elderly Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»woman.

Pascal Jean Claude Bouthillette entered the plea in B.C. Supreme Court in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»on May 27, before Justice Kathleen Ker.

He had been charged with murder in the Jan. 31, 2021 death of 78-year-old Usha Singh.

However, Bouthillette pleaded guilty to the lesser included offence of manslaughter.

Bouthillette’s co-accused, Sandy Jack Parisian, pleaded guilty to manslaughter on March 4.

Lawyers are expected to make sentencing submissions in Bouthillette’s case to Ker on May 31.

Crown prosecutor Jacinta Lawton has already told Ker that Parisian should spend eight years in prison. He has yet to be sentenced.

Singh, who lived alone, was found badly beaten in her house. She was taken to hospital but died of her injuries several days later.

The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Police Department has said two men posing as police officers gained entry to Singh’s Little Mountain home early that morning.

At the time of his arrest, police said Parisian had been living in a homeless camp near Vancouver’s Strathcona Park.

In a Glacier Media interview prior to the incident, Parisian had styled himself the mayor of Oppenheimer Park, the scene of a large homeless camp.
