The Pattullo Bridge will be closed to traffic again this week.
The bridge will be closed to traffic in both directions overnight Thursday — from Thursday, Aug. 3 at 10 p.m. to Friday, Aug. 4 at 5 a.m. — as part of work on the . It will remain open to pedestrians and cyclists, however.
Signs will be posted to indicate traffic pattern changes, and traffic control personnel will be on hand to direct traffic, pedestrians and cyclists, a TransLink press release noted.
Drivers can use either the Port Mann or Alex Fraser bridges as alternatives.
For transit users, N19 NightBus and Route 103 trips will be rerouted over the Alex Fraser and Queensborough bridges between New Westminster and Scott Road stations. TransLink notes riders should allow for 30 extra minutes of travel time.
“We thank bridge users and neighbours for their patience during this work. When completed, the new bridge will provide important improvements — including wider lanes separated by a median barrier and separate walking and cycling lanes,” the release noted.
Transit users can check for updates on impacted bus routes.
