A man accused of dangerous driving causing bodily harm has elected trial by Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Provincial Court judge.

Zeki Jyo’s lawyer John Chak confirmed the trial type before Judge Reginald Harris Nov. 7.

Court documents allege Jyo, 31, drove in a manner dangerous to the public and struck a person causing bodily harm in Vancouver.

Both charges arise from an Oct. 1, 2022 incident.

A second charge is that Jyo failed to stop at the scene to give their name and address. That count includes operating a vehicle or being reckless knowing the vehicle had been involved in an accident.

Harris said five days should be reserved for the trial.

The case returns to court Nov. 21.
