remains in custody as he faces 21 criminal charges, including robberies, assaults and break and enters.
The charges against Terry Houngbo-Gody are now 560 days old. He was due in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»provincial court Nov. 24 for arraignment before Judge Paul Meyers.
It was his 34th court appearance since November 2021.
In connection with Sept. 23, 2020 incidents, he is charged with multiple counts each of breaking and entering, robbery and aggravated assault. He is further charged with possessing an imitation firearm and masking his face with intent to commit an indictable offence. All the charges relate to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»incidents.
Two other men are charged with similar offences, court documents show.
The former B.C. Football Conference’s Westshore Rebels’ running back was born in Africa, moved to the United States at age two and then headed to Quebec in his late teens. He arrived in B.C. in 2013.
The allegations led to Houngbo-Gody being put on Crime Stoppers' most-wanted list for the week of May 29, 2022.
He's detained at North Fraser Pretrial Centre and appeared by video.
The case was adjourned to Dec. 15.
