A Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»man has pleaded not guilty to seven counts of drug and weapon charges with a trial expected later this year.
Dustin Gastl, 41, appeared before Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Provincial Court Judge Nancy Adams April 3 to confirm how the case will proceed.
The charges with which Gastl is charged are all dated March 12, 2022.
He is alleged to have unlawfully possessed fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, each of which is a separate count on the court information.
He is further charged with possession of fentanyl, carfentanil and a benzodiazepine for the purpose of trafficking.
He is also alleged to have had a BB gun, bear spray and knives, charges where the possession of those items is considered dangerous to the public.
Crown prosecutor Kieran Smith told Adams he was concerned about delays in the case where the offences are alleged to have happened almost two years ago.
The case will move forward for the setting of trial dates.
