After about a year and a half on Victoria Drive, Vietnamese coffee shop Hèm 377 has just opened the doors to its second cafe location, this time a little further northeast in Vancouver.
Hèm 377's new second outpost is located at 1108 Commercial Dr. The space was vacated back in April by Palestinian restaurant Tamam To-Go, a mostly take-out operation.
The to immerse themselves "in the world of Vietnamese coffee" and "embark on a caffeine-filled journey like no other" at its new Commercial Drive shop.
According to (which distinguishes itself with the addition of "/ Hi" after the café name), the Commercial Drive location's menu focuses on its signature coffee beverages, including Egg Coffee (Cà phê trứng), Hue Style Coffee (Cà phê muối) made with honey-salted cream, or Pandan Drip (Cà phê lá dứa) which is made with drip coffee and sweetened pandan milk and pandan cream.
The café also has a "cloud series" of coffee drinks, specialty lattes like those made with ube, durian, or Biscoff cookies, along with milk teas, flavoured milks, sugarcane juice, and other fresh teas and juices.
For food, Hèm 377 offers snack-style eats, like popcorn cups, a sticky rice bowl, and banh mi.
"'Hẻm' means the alley in Vietnam (usually tight and narrow roads) and they are all numbered," the cafe venture explained on social media ahead of its debut last spring. The new Commercial Drive Hèm 377 / Hi shop carries on the brand's tradition of bringing Saigon-style street food and exciting beverages to Vancouver.
